In this episode of KIDS MYTHBUSTERS, I use salt, pepper, and a plastic spoon to see if a plastic spoon can be given an electric charge when you rub it on your hair. THIS REALLY WORKS!!!! After I rubbed the spoon on my hair and placed it a little bit above the plate of salt and pepper, the pepper jumped up on the spoon. The spoon was like a magnet for the pepper. Watch and see!

This experiment has me wondering WHY my hair gave that spoon an electric charge. Any guesses? (Kids only please!) My guess is that my hair is like an antenna and the electricity goes from my body through my hair, and into the spoon.
